as we all know, when the area of the display screen reaches a certain extent, because of the large number of power supply on the back of the display screen and the large amount of heat dissipation, air conditioning has become a necessary means of cooling.
if estimating the air conditioning specifications of outdoor led display screen, it is necessary to estimate the heat dissipation inside the led display screen and understand the refrigeration capacity (specifications) of the air conditioning, because the refrigeration capacity of the air conditioning represents the total amount of heat that the air conditioning eliminates from the inner space of the led display screen in a unit time.
regarding the refrigeration capacity of air conditioning, it is customary to use “pi” to measure the refrigeration capacity of air conditioning in the market at present. there are 6 kinds of common air conditioning units: 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 and 5. the refrigeration capacity corresponds to 2500, 3500, 5000, 6000, 7000 and 12000 watts respectively.
the internal heat dissipation of the led display panel can be estimated as follows:
in the industry, the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the led lamp is usually set to 20% – 30% (estimated), so the total thermal power consumption of the screen can be estimated as 70% of the total power consumption of the screen. the total thermal power consumption is deducted from the six external heat (about 20%) of the screen, and the rest is the heat dissipation of the inner space of the screen, which accounts for about 50% of the total power consumption of the screen (to be exact, the total average power consumption, because the screen can not always play in full white, light or dark).
if the average power consumption of an outdoor led display is 450w/flat (different products vary), the area is 50 square meters. then the total average power consumption of the display screen is 22.5 kw. according to the 50% conversion rate of thermal power, there is about 11 kw heat generated inside the screen (without considering the heat generated by sunlight).
however, the calculation of the heat generated per unit time inside the screen can not directly be used as a reference value for selecting air conditioning specifications and quantities. for example, the conclusion that 11kw is divided by 6kw requires two 2.5p air conditioning is drawn, because the structural characteristics of outdoor led display screen should also be taken into account.
the internal width (channel width) of outdoor led display screen is generally between 0.8 and 1/3 of the height of ordinary residential room (2.8-3 meters). that is to say, under the same area, the volume of the internal space of the display screen is only 1/3 of the volume of ordinary residential room. according to the practical experience, the cooling capacity of 1p air conditioner in outdoor led display screen can be increased three times (because the space becomes smaller), that is, the cooling capacity of 1p air conditioner is equal to 7500w in ordinary room, and the cooling capacity of 1.5p air conditioner is equal to 10500w in ordinary room.
so after calculating the heat dissipation in the screen body is 11kw, we can choose two 1p air conditioners (equivalent to 2*7500w, two 1p air conditioners are more conducive to the uniform flow of cold air in space than one 2p air conditioner). normally, the actual cooling capacity of the recommended air conditioning is 40-50% larger than that of the inside of the screen, because the elimination of the heat generated by sunlight illuminating the screen should also be considered (the amount of sunlight radiation varies greatly in different regions).
